Join us on October 10th for a hands-on, artist-led Ice Dye Tie-Dye Workshop & Farm Visit!
Discover the captivating art of ice dyeing—a modern twist on traditional tie-dye that creates watercolor-like, marbled patterns and complex color gradients. Unlike traditional liquid dye, powdered pigments are placed on top of ice resting over folded fabric. As the ice melts slowly, it carries the dyes through the fibers, splitting into unexpected pigment specks and dreamy, ethereal blends.
Our color palette for this workshop is directly inspired by the farm in autumn: rich jewel tones drawn from our brilliant marigolds and zinnias, balanced with, stunning fall earth tones.
To spark your creativity, every participant will get to pick a bucket of u-pick flowers directly from the fields to inspire your vibrant color selections while you dye!
You will dye 1 garment of your choosing (select your style and size at checkout) plus 1 cotton bandana. You'll also leave with a complete set of take-home care and washout instructions so your vibrant creations stay rich and bright!
